  3. You search " learn French online free", and pick from a huge selection of courses. Use several, as each one has different strengths, and to get the whole package, you'll want to use more than one.

  5. There are a lot of programs on iTunes that are good; for example, Coffee Break French, Learn French By Podcast, and Katia and KylieMac Learn French.

There is a program called "French In Action" which can be found on the Internet at this site: http://www.learner.org. This is a 52 episode video program that is entirely in French except for the first episode which explains the program.

There are audio programs you can check out at the library, if your library has them. And check out your local library's DVD section, because some libraries have the French In Action program. Also check your library's CD section for music in French. Some singers include Edith Piat, Patricia Kaas, and Celine Dion has some French albums out as well but Celine is difficult to understand when singing in French.

Those are the free ways that I can think of. Good luck!

  7. Go to "french.about.com" and check out all of the different links this site has to offer. Next step, once you're feeling a little more confident, go to yahoo.fr and practice your French on yahoo questions/reponses forum.
